Habitat for Humanity House
Habitat for Humanity returns to MontanaFair (the last time they were at the fair was in 2003).  Habitat for Humanity will be building a house right on the Fairgrounds for the Sherri Bird family.  Volunteers, supervised by construction professionals, will build approximately 2/3 of Sherri’s 3-bedroom, 1.5 bath house right before your very eyes at the fairgrounds!  There will be two volunteer shifts offered daily, 1-5pm and 6-9pm, all nine days of the fair, for those who sign up in advance.  Each shift will need about 20 volunteers.  The Habitat office will be happy to reserve a spot for you - call 652-0960 to sign up!  Be a part of the excitement!  It’s a fun-in-the-sun day swinging hammers for a great cause.

After MontanaFair, the house will be moved to a prepared building site on the South Side of Billings.  Sherri is looking forward to returning as a homeowner to the neighborhood she grew up in.

Kid's World

This year, there's more to do in Kid's World and it's all free!  Kid's World will feature two separate sections with activities for all ages.

Section #1 – Primarily a place for kid's 6 and under and for adults to rest.  This area will provide a nice place to get out of the sun and enjoy some free fun with park benches (or patio type chairs) for the adults, while the kids can play at:  The Duck Pond, The Playground, The Fair 500, Fair Coloring Mural, Tic Tac Toe, Shooter Games, HopScotch, Plant A Pot, the Sandboxes and more.

Section #2 – A place for teens and pre-teens.  There will be  4-H demonstrations including small animal care and training.  In addition, this area will have contests for GPS, Texting, Cell Phone Photos, A Wall Climb, Guitar Hero Contests and Fair art participation.
